Question: How good is Parallels 3.0 for the Macbook Pro?
I really like it. It runs applications very well and when doing most things you can’t even tell your running it inside of OSX. Any of the Macbook Pros will run it just fine.
The newest version of Parallels has a great new feature for people who like to use Mac or Windows programs exclusively. It’s called Smartselect. Using this great new feature you can open files that are in the Windows environment with Mac programs! All you have to do is choose the open with command!
It’s also great if you want to do some gaming as it supports DirectX and OpenGL. Now it’s not going to give you the best performance and framerates out there but it performs pretty decently in my opinion.
Keep in mind that if you buy parallels you will have to buy a copy of Windows as well. Parallels doesn’t come with it.
